A bit of a wild child, Mary was sent to live with family on the mainland when her mother died. She bounced from school to school before eventually finishing in a home study program. She's had a string of dead end jobs to match the string of no-good boyfriends she's acquired.

The first time she saw her brother since the death of their mother was at their father's funeral when she was pulled away from flirting talking with some really nice Honolulu Police officers. She was promptly sent back to Los Angeles and hadn't stepped foot back on the Islands until months later when she got into a big of a jam and her Aunt suggested she visit her brother, again.

Mary spent 12 weeks in Hawaii, rebuilding her relationship with her brother, before he decided, like their father, that it isn't safe for her. This time, she gets something their father couldn't give, a promise that they would keep in touch with each other and that if there anything she needed, he was a phone call away.

Mary doesn't return to Hawaii for another 14 months, and in that time, she's attempted turned her life around and she has a stable job as a flight attendant and is on a layover and wants to surprise Steve for his birthday. She spends the day in Hawaii, nearly losing her job due to a supposed friend stealing diamonds and getting her mix up in it.

It's been 8 months since Mary's last time in Hawaii and she's now a care-giver for a sweet man by the name of Morty Sapperstein. She's back on the Islands because Steve called and told her he had something important to tell her...and boy was it important. Her mother is alive. Has been alive for the last 20 years. At first she wants nothing to do with her, but in the end, Morty convinces her to at least listen to what her mother has to say.

Mary hopes with this trip back home, she can maybe put some roots down and spend time with her brother. She tired doing that with her mother, but it was obvious she was more interested in keeping secrets and passing judgment than getting to know the woman that Mary has now become. Taking her Aunt's advice again, Mary is back in Hawaii...with a plus one. Oh boy is Steve going to be surprised.

Mary is 5'2", has dirty blond hair and hazel eyes, that sometimes look green or blue. She is currently 30 years old and mother to 5 month old Joan McGarrett.
